New VRs

Featured Replies

I know this will have been asked loads already (Done a search but nothing came up).

I already own a mk1 fabia VRS and I want to get rid of the wifes Peugeot 306.

I want her to have something VAG. But should we get a second hand Golf or should we spend a bit more and get a new VRS with the 5%VAT, they are coming in at OK money.

Didn't really want to go into getting finance for a new car, but she drives a french car, and need to get something to stop us from looking cheap.

If it had been a diesel, then I wouldn't of looked at it twice, I would of had one.

Come on peeps, sell the new VRS to me.

What can I say.... its a fantastic car for the money. Take your wife to your local dealer and get her to take a test drive. You wont need a sales person after that ;)

£13500 at DrivetheDeal. Not sure how this compares with the dealer price now?

I can almost guarantee that your SWMBO won't be driving it... EVER! the car just works so much better than the MK1 in my opinion...

Have you taken a test drive yet?

If not I'd get down there as many people here (Fabia mkII forum) think they are great, but for some (like me) they just don't quite do it.

It's a lot of performance for the money, there is no question about that.

Sod the wife - give her your mk1 and get yourself in a mk2 - you will not regret it

I have not taken a test drive yet, but the one I am actually now looking at is the S2000 special edition model, with only 20 RHD versions hitting the UK. It has got all the stickers on, so looks quite like the rally version, just not as mean.

with a couple of options, to me, it will come in at just under the £14000 mark.

The dealer I bought mine from had one in a couple of months back that I looked round. Nice version of the car but very "In Your Face"

The 'special edition' stickered up version was excluded from the VAT-deal so no discounts on it as far as I'm aware. My dealer had one in their showroom and wanted circa £17.5k for it....... :giggle:

If you buy the vRS for the wife how will you live with the fact that her motor is significantly faster than your own?!

I am happy with the price,Its coming to me a little cheaper than its up for, as I'm in the trade, and they know me pretty well. Its just weather she wants it or not.

I am sure I could cope (Or swap cars)! lol

Would be a good deal then if you could get it for under 14K. I'm sure the stickers aren't to everyones taste but put some pics on here if you do buy it.

Although you won't be illegally spacing your number plate will you?

Up to them really isn't it.

Up to them really isn't it.

It is. It's just one of my pet hates when people have to space number plates illegally to try and make them 'say' something lol

I have both sets of plates, one for road use, and one for show use! So yes they will be spaced incorrectly from time to time.

All good then! Nice change to see somebody being sensible about it!

To be fair though, it does amuse me that the DVLA sell such plates knowing that they only have a value if they are illegally spaced.

In other news, Skoda only have another 19 of the S2000 editions to sell lol.

I agree!
