Does our Superb 6-speed DSG have launch control function? If so, how do you use it?

Cheers,

Yes it does, now tell me where you are in Taipei so i can come and show you how it works :D

IT wont damage the gearbox either, guys with gti's have been using it for years.

It should have it - mine does and it does work... B)

Think it is a bit of scaremongery about invalidating the warranty....Why would they put in a feature that invalidates the warranty? Same with the revs..There is a limiter built in and it is revved up to the limit on an MOT test anyway.

I cant get it to work on my PD140, after selecting gears and pressing all the buttons all that happens when I press the throttle with the brake applied is the clutches try to engage and the engine does not rev freely.

Perhaps it is only on the 170 then or just the Octavia... :S

 The reason some of you cannot get it to work, is because you need RED RACING shoes like in the video, then it will work. :giggle:

Was that the 3.6 we all experienced a couple of years ago James?

That's the one

Was a nice car, made me smile when James told Skoda uk that he accidentally left it running round the back, that's why it only done 7.6mpg on the trip computer 2

I think from one of the youtube clips, it seems that when it does not rev freely means it is working. Since under lanuch control mode, you can only rev your engine as high as 3,000 RPM.

:D

No what he means is that it won't free rev to the 2.5k rpm, the clutch is engaging therefore the car will try an pull away.

I will have another play at the weekend though, dont get a chance on my 1 mile commute to the office.
