Cruise control dash indication?

Featured Replies

Ive seen a few pics on the net of skodas with a green light on the speedo that indicates that cruise is active, kind of like a timer clock with an arrow on it. My question is, does the fabia speedo have the "symbol" but no bulb? Or is it just not activated?

Would it be possible to get it to work through VCDS or does anyone know the positive and negative wire colour on the cruise loom to retro wire it up so it indicates cruise is active?

Thanks

Erm thanks but have you read my post at all?

I have retro fitted cc but wonder about an indication thats its activated, which isnt covered in your link.

Yes i did read it, and obviously it has to be activated, as it explains in the link.

Yes cc has to be activated as i have done about 8 months ago. It all works fine but is there an LED indicator that can be retro wired?

i dont have one on mine and it was factory fit so i assume no

There is no LED in the dash for it, uk cars don't have it.

i have an se

when cc is on i have no light and did wander if i should

Nope, there is no LED that lights up in the Dash when CC is on whether it was factory fitted or fitted ater, its the same on all MK1 Fabias and MK1 Octavias. There is no EU requirement that a light comes on when cruise is activated.

Thabks for clearing that up. Shame really it doesnt as it would be a good feature really.

If you need a light on the dash to tell you CC is active then you must have a short memory LOL :wonder:

If your foot not on any pedals it'd on !

My last car (a Volvo) had a dash indicator that Cruise was engaged, but frankly the rev counter does that anyway, so you don't need it.
