Using SD card through stereo

Featured Replies

Well, the most impressive thing for me is that the Bolero can display the "metal umlaut" in mp3 files on the SD card (well it can for the "y" in Queensryche - gotta try the "n" in Spinal Tap now!).

Just sayin'.

I have a 2011 Octavia courtesy car for a couple of days and the Bolero SD card access speed is lightening fast in comparison to the Bolero in my 2010 car. It takes 1.5 minutes for the SD card to initislise in my car and only 5 seconds in the courtesy car! Swapping between albums is also much faster. I've recently asked the dealer to check for a firmware update but they tell me there are none available.

Hi All,

I've had the firmware updated on my Bolero system in my 59 plate VRS and it now loads the SD card way faster than before, maybe only 2 seconds on start up as opposed to 15 seconds before the firmware update-this is on a 16gb card. All reading functions seem improved, changing folders etc is better too.

Hope this helps someone somewhere......

I had my Bolero updated last week at my local dealer after receiving advice from Gavin (gav611) on this forum. My 32gb card now reads in under 5 seconds whereas before it would take 1.5 minutes whenever I switched the unit on. Browsing the folders is also rapid now. Very happy.
