MAF Airflow

Featured Replies

Hi

I currently have a 2003 1.6 Octavia Ambient.

About 1 month a ago the EML light came on. When pligged in to a diagnostic checker I got the faults MAF airflow and o2.

I Had the airflow sensor replaced and it was ok for about 3 weeks then the light popped on again. This time I had the 02 sensor replaced. Again this was ok for bout 3 weekd and then ping light on again (airflow sensor fualt).

The garage has suggested that it may be a faulty sensor and have offered to replace the sensor FOC.

Im not convinced? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I'm not certain either way either, but the garage are doing the right thing by you.

They could test the O2 (aka lambda) sensor by directly measuring the voltage it returns, and the MAF by disconnecting it and seeing if the car runs better on the default settings than those from the MAF.

Thanks All,

Do you know if the 2003 petrol version uses a coil pack?
