I've checked for vacuum leaks and couldn't find any. As a precaution I'll be fitting a new seal between the throttle body cover and the throttle body. After I've had another go at cleaning the throttle body and probably the MAP sensor as well, should it be enough to disconnect the battery and, if so, how long is necessary?

24 hours if you want to but i've never had to reset the throttle body before and i've swapped mine for a lower milage one.
