All you VRS drivers ou there

Featured Replies

Yes my missus did on the A69 from Newcastle to Carlisle. But she was doing a ton when she "Noticed that some idiot in a blue Volvo was following her so she just kept going". Then said idiot put his blue flashers on and pulled her for speeding. During her warning he commented how she slowed down for the speed cameras. He then showed her the video which showed him nearly getting wiped out by a truck trying to catch her. So he didn't fine her.

I like her style

On to my second black VRS now, and never been stopped, (probably had 5yrs of driving in them).

My first was a Mk1 54plate company car that I had specced to the roof, was about 27 when I got it, Police never stopped me once, however I make many trips to the continent, and everytime customs used to pull me over, question me, x-ray my bags ans go through the car with mirrors before letting me on my way.

I then moved onto a Renault Laguna estste for 3 years, customs never bothered me in that. January this year I bought another black new shape VRS and customs once again are stripping it down each time I pass through.

But no police have stopped me in it 'yet'.

No never been stopped in my vrs ;) Usually get quite a few drivers slowing down though on motorways, not all but some do get suspect as the sudden change in driving style becomes more cautious

I think with the various unmarked vehicles about now drivers are being more vigilant on the road,I guess if you spot a certain colour Focus ST amongst the motorway traffic it gets you thinking that could be plod, more drivers are probably becoming aware that the vrs is also being used..

I bought an ex Thames Valley undercover police car and still drive it around the old patrol area, my car was definately known as had some rather erratic slow-downs, stares, and seen some right strange last minute decisions. Some people think it would make driving fun, after about 6 weeks I changed the plate on it and everybody acts 'almost' normal around me now.

If you want to be completly invisible to plod get a anthracite elegance estate with normal wheels and a baby seat, they cant even see it!
