Almost a year after the turbo let go and old faithful had a hybrid turbo and other ancialliaries fitted I got around to getting on the rollers this afternoon.

I had been keen to get figures from a Dyno Dynamics rolling road as all other dyno runs that have been consistent were on the Dyno Dynamics Rollers @ JKM. Pre-turbo works last year the car had run +/- 10bhp over 3 4 years on the same rollers  so I have confidence in the DD RR.

Took the car to SPTuning LTD in Burbage and managed to get onto the rollers straight away.

Great looking curve with a lovely wide powerband

Here's what it ran before the works with the standard turbo and a generic AmD map

With J5 jnr number 2 on the way in October and the Roomster out of warranty, I've been having really, really naughty thoughts of late about Briskoda's first 200BHP Roomster. :o

Everything in the front of the fabia out, and drop it in the Roomster....... B)

nice one mate, once i have my clutch in and its all bedded in i look forward to getting mine on a rr

thats a very mild map, what turbo is it?

Garrett GT149VB or whatever it's called. :giggle:

I specifically requested a reasonably sympathetic map when the work was done as maxing out the turbo was not my aim. Asking for a good solid 200bhp or so as the work was done a car with 140k on the clock and I was/am concious of longevity rather than headline figures.

congrats mate!! I'm hoping to join your club soon, just need to find a local rolling road! :)

nice, not bad for such high mileage eh? emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Nice, im happy with mine at 201.2. pulls very strong and I know the turbo isnt on its limit.

Get yourself over to JKM in Portsmouth, as I mentioned in post #1 thier rollers proved to be very consistent over 3 years with my car.

Indeed. Again as I mentioned before, a considerable amount of thought on my part and questioning with Dan at Tunrner Race Developments happened before comitting to the works.

I had concerns about it given there was +/- 135k on the clock when the original factory turbo let go. Dan carried out a thourough check of cams etc. at the time to ensure everything was ok.

I used to travel down from Gloucester. Now it's a 3.5hr trip :( and time off from work is rare.

It'd be worth giving Kate @ JKM a bell an check available dates for an RR day. I'd arrange myself but wouldn't be able to commit to getting time off :'(
