Felicia Wipers problem

Featured Replies

Having a real headache with the felly's wipers-

Will work absolutly fine for a short while (10mins?) on slow speed then gradually they slow down and start juddering, after a couple of sweeps like this they just stop randomly. Also affects the intermittent wipe, which won't function at all. They work fine on full, but then return to the same if switched back to half/intermittent. Also stops if the wash/wipe is pulled (again, only if its acting up on the other settings, otherwise fine).

I've put in a new relay (its a programmable one) and cleaned the linkage, someone suggested a bad earth on the motor, but this isn't occuring every trip- it can work fine for a few days and then I'll get a spate of playing up.

Any ideas whats causing this folks, at my wits end with it! (Put in a new alternator regulator recently too, but everything else on the car is working great)

Alex

I'd still check the motor earth; it's the thing that's most likely to subcumb to vibration and/or heat-related issues.
