Group buy shark performance remap/STS

Featured Replies

sounds very reasonable.

I understand that to be :

free STS & 10% of map for those who want the STS

10% off map & additonal £150 for those who just want map.

Is that correct or have I just bankrupt your business!!

feel free to correct me.

If we hit the target of 30 people, then yes I don't see a problem in doing that :)

Thought I'd bang in these two quotes, to give people an idea at what might be achieved.

I have the shark performance stage 1+/2 map on my vRS car and it is immense. However the STS WILL NOT work on the Fabia vRS so you would have to travel to them in mansfield. Not entirely sure on its use on other Fabia models, it may well work, im sure shark_90 can comment.

1.4TSI vRS

stage 1 210hp/320NM(235lbft)

stage 2 213hp/360NM (265lbft)

These are the normal quoted prices

stage 1 (direct from stock) = £499 including VAT

stage 2 upgrade = Additional £100 incl VAT if your running stage 1 already

stage 2 (direct from stock) = £499 Incl VAT

However with the Group buy offer of 10% saving with additional £150 off if you dont want the STS handset (which you wont because it wont work)

you'll pay

stage 1 (direct from stock) = £299 including VAT

stage 2 upgrade = Additional £100 incl VAT if your running stage 1 already

stage 2 (direct from stock) = £299 Incl VAT

Something also worth considering is they are after a 1.2TSI development vehicle so if you want a free remap for your 1.2TSI then id give thema call.

Bonus of a remap is not only will you power increase, in my experience on previous 2 cars mapped by Shark Performance and other tuners with old cars again is that the MPG does increase.

and a remap of this quality for only £300 is not to be sniffed at

Doesn't the DSG7-gearbox have a limit off 300 nm?

EDIT: Before it sets itself in limp-home...

Doesn't the DSG7-gearbox have a limit off 300 nm?

EDIT: Before it sets itself in limp-home...

does it? show me some literature where it says that. By literture im talking from whattuners have mentioned or what VAg have stated, as all i have read is from forum rumour. Mine has 358Nm!!!!

Im pretty certain there is no released literature stating any limits. I have searched everywhere and all you get is conflicting opinions from the forums, no evidence to back anything up.

They did the same with the mk5 GTI and DSG6. That turned out to not only be alot stronger than the manual, but didnt require any clutch upgrades at all. Also thats was considering guys were running over 450hp and 400lbft with big turbo conversions on their DSG which in standard form only had to manage 230hp/25lbft3 so its more than happy with double the original output. one guy also had nitrous and was running 500lbft of torque,

All im saying is dont buy into the DSG is made of chocolate rumours. VAg over engineer everything, thats why VAg have such a huge tuning market

Okay.

Vtech here in Sweden claimed that the gearbox enters limphome over 300nm.

I guess they are wrong which is good for me :-P.
