Felicia Rear heated window - how does yours work?

Featured Replies

Evening crew,

A quick Q for you Felicia owners here... I've noticed that when I switch the heated back window on on my '97 there aren't any indications of it being 'on' on the dash. No lights/leds or anything like that. I've just been reading through the manual and apparently I'm supposed to get a light show up towards the bottom of the lights panel on the dash? (i.e. under side/dipped/fog/etc) Is this correct?

I used it on a cold morning a few days ago and noticed that only some of the window was clearing, looked like bits weren't getting heated. Is this worth fixing and what's required?

I guess my next thing to do will be to see if it's stuck to 'ON' as this'll be drawing current and wasting precious MPGs!

Cheers!

Light in the dash is probably blown.

Fixing broken heater lines can be done with conductive paint and careful masking....

Thanks - expect you're right about the bulb. Maybe when I get bored enough I'll take the dash apart to sort it, for now it can wait!

I'll look into the heater line fix too.

Usual problem with the heated rear screen grids, on all cars, is some of the tracks are broken meaning it won't heat on that track. You will see as you turn it on that the fog will start to go close to the lines. Where it does not go from a certain line, it is not working there. Repair is to track down the break and use silver conductive paint across it. These breaks can be difficult to find.

If the Felicia dash panel is similar to the Favorit it's just sort of a bayonet fit bulb on the back.
