Intercooler

Featured Replies

Recently been looking into fitting a diy fmic to my fabia vrs, seen numerous intercooler styles on ebay, does anyone have any experience with fmic fitting on the fabia vrs, not interested in the seat intercooler nor the 700 pound forge kit. Could anyone lead me in the right direction in the size of intercooler required for ease of fitment i.e no or minimal cutting e.t.c thanks in advance danny.

One of the guys on here was running a FMIC from a Ford Focus ST.........

You can fit whatever you want, just need to do lots of measuring & know someone who'll make the pipes

Ok thanks lads, ive seen sum pipework on ebay comes with plenty of 90degree silicone bends etc so might give that a go along with a 540mm long 140mm high and 65mm depth intercooler. But undecided between that style intercooler being long and thin rectangular shape or a more square shaped 440mm long 225mm high and 65mm depth with the inlet being high at one side and the oulet low at the otther side. The rectangular shaped intercooler inlet and outlet being level at opposite sides. Choices choices, thankyou for the advice though gents.

I have just fitted a universal intercooler bought off ebay inc a fitting kit all in at £135 , i just went for the biggest one i could get in, based on the bigger the surface area the better. My rebuilt 150bhp will be back from the shop in a few days then a remap will let you know how it goes.

be interesting to see the results

What did you do about fitting the MAP sensor?
