Hi All im archery daft and have a noisy 1.9tdi on an 02 plate 99,000 miles well looked after but gear box humming at road speed at any speed. speeds up and slows down with car. ok all wheel bearings ok replaced 2 fronts quieter but still there,

Now i think its diff but can it be intermediate shaft?

if its diff can i take near side drive shaft out and split box in situ or does the box have to come out?
