Hello! I have found some bloody brilliant stuff whilst googling this forum and wondered if anyone can give me a bit of advice. After a half hour run today my much loved Vrs started running very lumpy and the engine management light started flashing. Has anyone come across it before. My hubs is outside cleaning the plugs and says it could be the coil pack?? Any thoughts?? Ta muchly!!

if it is the coil packs dont throw yer old ones away ,and even if your problem is not related skoda have a coilpack recall at the moment as reported in another thread and will change them foc .

Really? Even thought she is 7 years old and done 120,000? I've only just got her back from the bodyshop since some miserable old man drove into the rear door whilst i was strapping my little one in so i'm feeling kinda sorry for her. How come there is a recall? I used to work for vauxhall and after the warranty period if anything was wrong you were generally on your own. lol.

Yep. Mine is a Y plate and I got them swapped FOC.

Sounds like a coil pack has failed,my mk1 did the same thing,as others have said get them replaced f.o.c by skoda using the recall.

Do you get a sulphur smell and put put noises coming from the exhaust? If so, coilpacks or dodgy spark plugs.

Best bet is have a look at the coilpacks and see what version they are. If the part number doesn't end in R or D, they will be replaced.
