Bored so had a UK insurance quote

Featured Replies

used go compare to see what it will cost me when I move back to the UK and it was scary my remapped Fabia VRS last year before movinng was £330 with protected NCD now for the new Octavia same sort of cover needed protecting my NCB etc 8 years protected already they wanted £1700 from Tesco ....... go compare gave me lost around £750 but with changing it to add remap (missed option first time) it cam back at £740!!!! cheaper than my quotes standard LOL how random is that! Admiral and Elephant wanted more with it not being remapped than with it remapped £250 excess how things have changed in a year  I am an advanced driver have no convictions ever no accidents ever no claims ever lol and in a cheaper LOW crime area 8000 miles a year social only! Increasing excess to £500 it only dropped £30 a year (not worth it IMO)

Just out of interest anyone had any big ripp off quotes like Flux Direct asking me for £2730 ??

If you're an advanced driver, the IAM is very cheap imo. Have you thought of that route?

Skoda insurance were a third of the price of some of my quotes, and half the price of the next cheapest.

I am with Tesco at the moment so tried them this week again, currently I pay around £300 for the year but they came back with £750. SO looks like I will be changing companies this year!!!
