I went for a run in the VRS today, what a machine. I love the flappy paddles and the way the car sticks to the road. The car feels alive, you can feel it squirming underneath you. It lets you know exactly how much grip is left, awesome. Caught a Focus ST on my run who tried to show me how quick his car was, i would loved to have seen his face when he realised a SKODA was sticking to his butt like glue. I would have also loved to have seen his face as he got all out of shape in one corner ( his backside stepped out of line big time). He was pushing hard and i still had bags of grip left.

However I've owned both a Focus ST and a vRS and the ST is significantly faster when driven properly....

Maybe in a straight line, but it really struggled over some twisty B roads.

Awesome road, totally agree with you on the grip... you just know how much you can get away with, and when you push it to hard and the ESP kicks in... its so forgiving.

I need to go up there for a play....

Its a great road since its nice and clear and you can really get your foot down. Its brilliant whichever way you do it. Its not too technical but its still a good test. In some ways I prefer it to the A4069.

Do you guys know any other good roads around the same area?

I have a few but this will do for now. This will be my "running in" trip once I get it
