Seat belt latch covers?

Featured Replies

I don't know how to describe what part of the seat belt it is. The part with the big red release button on it.

Can anyone point me to some kind of rubber / anti-rattle cover if they exist? I'm mad I know, but my rear ones like to rest in a position where they rattle against each other, and my passenger side likes to rattle against the handbrake area. I temporarily solved the front passenger side with just a strip of Velcro, which isn't really noticeable at all thankfully, but I didn't really want to Velcro up the rear ones as I would look like a bit of a loon (as opposed to sounding like one).

Googling just returns metal safety buckles.

On some vw's etc they have fabric over the faces same type as boot carpet etc just to soften the blow

Maybe some thin carpet and fabric glue and scissors?

Is it possible to tuck the middle one down between the bench/back as a free fix? Maybe not an option if you use the middle seat a lot though. . .

My parents Focus has some sticky fabric, maybe the soft side of velcro on the fronts which seems to work.

Sounds like Velcro is probably the way to go then!

I thought it would just look odd / tacky / weird, but if other cars basically do just that then it's going to be a nice easy cheap fix for a change.

Happy days!! Thanks :)

This is exactly what they use in the Superb as well

I simply fasten the seat belts up into their respective RED sockets when not in use, it keeps them taut and they don't rattle.
