Looking for some mats or at least a drivers side mat for a MKI Superb Elegance in black it really needs to look standard and have the holes in it for the clips in the carpet.

Any recommended sellers on eBay?

Have you got any mats kicking about from your MKI Superb when you traded it in?

Funny you should post this up as I am looking for a new set also, trouble is I only want and OEM set, spoke to a few dealers now and apparently they have been discontinued..........

They were discontinued when I bought mine - a year ago!

Nip down to your friendly VW dealer, they had no problem sourcing them for Passats, in a whole range of colours (but that was a year ago)

Yeah, trouble with the VW Passat mats is that they don't have Superb embossed on the Driver's mat........ :no:

I googled for the same thing, and there is a site that does OEM copies. They looked pretty good (embossed etc) and a few different price ranges. www.mrcarmats.com is the address.

no - but they don't say Passat either

Thinking about it though - the original mats in my car (which, iirc were standard factory-fit on the Elegance, but not on all models) didn't have any embroidery or embossing - they were just plain black carpet mats.

But, I suppose if you tend to forget which car you're driving...

I brought some from www.simplycarmats.co.uk last June.

I had the super delux set. Came with the hole clips and nice quality. You can add text.

Word of warning. The rear ones they originaly sent did not fit that came (and were far to short - probably passat sized!).

I contacted them and had to draw round my exisiting ones and send the pattern to them and then they sent some more. These they made as a mirrored pair of only one of the rear mats. The superb rear matts are not a mirrored image of each other, so I then had three that fitted! I explained this and yet another pair was sent out but of the other side.

I now have many spares (that don't fit) to kneel on when rapire car!

They were easy to deal though with when I had the problems with the rears - so ok it was a pain in the arse but at least they sorted it out.
