Hi Guys

Hoping you can help

I missed out on a 130hp Octy SE, which I was gutted about.

Now looking at

This is a 90hp model with 90k on the clock, and a full service history, makes no mention of a cambelt change so will need to look if I go to see it.

Can you give me any advice on the comparison between the Octy 1 models, and If its worth waiting until something else comes available?

Any advice will be appreciated

Kris

The SE was a run out model, had a few extras on it above the Ambiente it was based on.

Alloys and Leather multi function steering wheel and i think different seat fabric can't remember what else,

Other than that, not a lot different.

The next model up is the Elegance, which Adds Alloys and Climate and Sunroof i think.

Above that for a short time was the L & K which added heated leather seats and dark chrome alloys.

The 90bhp tdi was only avalible in Classic and Ambiente, all the above will be 110bhp or 130bhp.

The above car look nice, just add a set of OEM Alloys and cheack cambelt has been done otherwise allow about £300.

Cheers

I shouldn't be put off by the high mileage then?

I have an unreliable megane at the moment so just want to get something that will last, my megane has just under 60k on the clock, so dont know if i should be worried by getting a car with 30k more miles on it!

Any comments are appreciated

Also is the 90hp engine sluggish?

I wouldn't worry too much at 87,000 miles, that's definitely not high on one of these!

I drove a 90bhp Ambiente before I bought my Elegance and didn't find it sluggish. Drive it and see what you think. If it is too slow for you, either look for a 110 or 130 or get it remapped.

isnt price a tad high?

seen the location of garage is the Norwich area, If you see anything in Ipswich I can pop out n have a looksie for ya if your not located in Ipswich.

Cheer dude, I will have a look, Im in Norwich, so If I find summit in ipswich I may well take you up on your offer!

You will be compensated!

ive got a 90hp tdi on an x reg & its done 229000 miles, & its sat on my uncles front garden since 2006, ive just had the original clutch & dmf replaced, the 87000 miles is nothing for the tdis just have a look on tdiclub some of the vw engines are up into the 400,500,600 & even 700000 miles, so if looked after the engine in the octavia should go for a few more miles yet, mine was used as a taxi, if your out & get a taxi which happens to be a skoda check the mileage, im more than happy with mine around town i get about 39-40 & on a run the computer says 64.2, i put 40 pounds in mine @ 142.9p & i done 267 town miles, good luck with whatever model you decide to buy, im sure you'll be impressed.

Kwif the 130 se you were looking at wasnt in Warwick was it?
