hey guys ive recently bought a skoda fabia 03 reg and to be honest im not to sure whether it has central locking or not, if it does i may have a problem with the system as when the drivers door is unlocked only the that door is unloacked and the rest stay locked until they are openend from inside can anyone shed any light on this many thanks james

Do you have a lock/unlock button on the driver's door panel?

If you unlock the car from the passenger side, do any of the other doors unlock?

there isnt a romote locking key, there isnt any controls on the drivers door pannel and when i unlock it from the passengers door only the passengers door opens.

Then you don't have central locking - remote or otherwise.

you would think that a 03 car would have central locking is there a chance that the sytem is broken, if not is it easily fitted?

what spec is it??? If "Classic" then base spec...so no CL I'm afraid.....and to retro fit........motors and looms for all doors and boot..big job!!!

it is a classic and will look into fitting central locking there is a company that is dedicated to fitting central locking about 10 minutes drive from mine will give them a call and get a quote thanks for all your helps guys

If you really want to you could get the wiring looms, motors etc from a wrecked Ambient or Elegance spec...speak to this firm that you are seeing about this.

There's a lot to be said for no CL or electric windows, less things to have pack up and cost money. Convenience can cost a lot of money.
