Rear tyres - sawtoothing

Featured Replies

Sawtooth tyres on the back of Octavias have been commented upon before. My estate chewed through its first set at 15k miles and the second pair are on their way at 37k miles. On the first occasion Ashmore Green (Newbury) adjusted the track at their expense (not recognised by Skoda under warrantee apparently)but they clearly haven't fixed it.

Does anyone know of a permanent cure for this? If there are settings that can be specified I can get an independent to do it perhaps. Or would a different tyre be better. It's on original specification Dunlops at the moment.

Thanks for directing me to this thread. It seems that the only way forward is to abandon Dunlops and then rotate regularly. What a fart!

Not sure what your expecting out of a set of tyres?

I would have thought that 15k and 22k weren't that bad.

If its saw toothing then I'm guessing the canvas must have been showing on the inside shoulder if the tyres were about legal on the outside.
