what;s wrong with just getting a 20 quid scrapyard special?? the 1.3 and 1.6 both have the same starter motor so they should be easy to find

Yeah, blimey, I have several here, you can have one for £25 delivered!

Cheers guys, my neighbour has managed to get it working again. I didn't have a chance as I was at work and the wife needed it urgently!
