What is the best product and method for cleaning Octy vRS seats (the white bits!)

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have just noticed a small mark on one of my front seats. I want to clean it off and not make it worse!

Can anyone recommend what the best product to use is and what method is best?

I looked in Halfords the other day and AutoGlym did 3 different interior products and I did not know which one to go for.

I could also do with something to clean the carpet in case I get any marks.

Thanks All

Vanish :)

I assume that just for the carpets?

I can't see anything wrong with using it on the seats. I think I might have given my seats a light rub with it but it was brilliant for the carpets. What I did was got some warm water, got the vanish soap bar and let some of it dissolve in the water, then used a cloth to put it on the carpet.

I know the girlfriend used sort of the Oxi action spray (I think its called) to get bolognese sauce off the curtains (don't ask, and no I didn't throw some at her Daveclar :) ) It did a great job.

autoglym interior shampoo (white plastic spray bottle green label)

been using it for years on various cars. do exactly as it says on the instructions ........... works a treat. with a 2 year old and a 5 year old my octy vRS seats need all the help they can get

Go to Tesco and buy a spray of DP Liquid soda crystals......Does NOT contain Bleach or Phosphates or Chlorine. Costs about

can you give the mesh a good scrub with a nail brush or will that do a bit of damage ie fraying etc

I wouldn't rub it too much as it will start to look shabby. I suppose that means cleaning it more frequently rather waiting till it gets bad and scrubing it :) .
