Featured Replies

Where can i buy a chargeable Ipod/Iphone connector where i dont have to make endless playlists?

I have a 2007 vrs se with Symphony hu & multichanger.

Do Skoda have a Ipod solution?

Parrot MKI9200 - fitted one the other day to my Fab vRS with symphony and CD changer. Also the added bonus of BT handsfree, BT audio streaming, 3.5mm and USB connectivity.

I have the symphony and CD changer in my Fabia. How does the Parrot MKI9200 connect to the factory speakers? Was it easy to fit?

Joe, yes it was very easy to fit. I had no idea what I was doing and I usually lash these things up. Took a couple of hours but if I'd read what I've just written first it would have been easier.

The Parrot kit comes with a contol box with a loom. The connectors that plug into the back of the H/U plug into the Parrot loom and then the loom plugs into those two sockets.

There is then a lead to the little screen and the other lead that has the iPod/USB/3.5mm jack, and then a final lead to the microphone.

I took out the glove box and placed the contol box there to the right of it -feeding the cables round the back of the H/U. I mounted the screen on the top left blank switch plate above the H/U (where the heated seats control would be if I had them!)

I mounted the mic on the steering column. The remote, with the jogger dial, and green/red and skip track buttons I mounted at the base of the gearstick. Ideal place for it as you can rest your hand on the handbrake when it is down to use the controls.

The CD changer stays in place. I bought a kit from Xcarlink but that was rubbish and so sent it back. This Parrot kit is brilliant.

 Thanks for that, very helpful
