Just had the front bumper off

Featured Replies

As per the title, the front bumper has been off as I finally got round to changing the fog light bulbs. I have to admit that it was a lot easier than I expected and I had no worries about yanking the bumper outwards to release it.

Anyway, put it all back together in reverse order but the top torx screws in the wheel arch arent lined up with the holes beneath, and the bumper sticks out of the bodywork at the very corner (hopefully someone will know what I mean). When I press on the bumper to push it inwards, the metal clip on the inside which houses the screw hole just keeps going in with it. Any tips on how to keep that still?

Ta.

Yeah mate, cheers.

Going to undo all the screws and try those two first, if no joy will buy more brackets.

Good old Briskoda comes to the rescue again

*note to self: really need to sort out my Freedom*

You dont need the brackets

Its the lip on the bumper you need to prise it out over the fixing in the wing

Hard to explain.... Get your thinking cap on

Just came on to say I'd figured it out, yeah Jase you're dead right, and yeah it's hard to explain.

The lip of the bumper goes over the top of the bracket. I only sussed it when I realised this was marked by the screw head and not the bracket side.

Looks better fittet correctly!

This worked on my mates SE but I did need new brackets.
