PastyBoy Replacement Badges GB #4

PastyBoy

Recommended Posts

Following on from the success of the previous three Group Buys (1, 2 & 3) and a PM inbox full of interest I though i'd start a new one.

Badges are a flexible self-adhesive backed vinyl printed with the chosen design and finished with a clear resin dome to give a pronounced finish and protection and durability.

They work equally well stuck over the OEM badge or in place of them.

They can also be shrunk down and used as alloy centres too!

Pretty much anything goes - full colour designs can be printed to white vinyl or flat (or even metallic) colours to a coloured vinyl.

The choice really is yours however a few for inspiration (and if you want any of these designs try to quote what i call them and your colour choice)

Retro - metallic blue on silver (just to show colour options)

2011 Badge

(bear in mind these are NOT 3D! they are printed to look it but are still a flat badge)

Custom Full colour designs

(I'd need you to supply "print ready" artwork for something this complex!)

If you're interested start a list in the normal Group Buy fashion along with the sizing you want.

Pasty Boy - Retro - Silver on Black - 80mm x2

MonkeyBoy - VRS logo on Black - 55mm x 4

I've done most cars now but it is up to you to make sure you request the correct sizing!

As a very rough guide off the top of my head from memory

Fabia & Octy mk1 - 80mm bonnet and boot - 55mm alloy centres

Fabia & Octy mk2 - 80mm bonnet & 88mm boot - 55mm alloy centres

Superb mk1 - 88mm bonnet & 92mm boot

Superb mk2 - 90mm bonnet and boot

If you are in any doubt get a ruler out!!

As a guide larger badges are about £10 and the alloy centres around £6 when produced on their own but in the January GB they were down to £6.50 and £4 respectively.

Things like extra colours in the design, larger size, international shipping add to the cost but once the quantity is up to a sizeable amount I will discuss with the printer and sort out pricing and everyone will then get a PM to confirm their requirements, the costs there of, delivery details and payment details.

Once all payments are all received then I shall hit the button! :)

Any questions ask away

I am getting confused in me old age!

I am hoping you got info for Yeti badges

please put me in for two

There seems to be a fair bit of interest on the Yeti site

Perhaps you may want to do a posting there and see what comes in

keep me posted on price

Lets try to avoid quoting my original post or we'll end up with a giant thread with all my pictures repeated over and over :)

I know we exchanged PM's about badges for Yeti's - essentially rather than paying full whack if i produced them just for you. If we can get a big enough order together they'll be a saving for everyone involved.

If you can drum up support in the Yeti scetion and get them over here to add their names to the list we'll reach a big quantity requied for discounts to apply faster and everyone will be happy sooner B)

Whats the consensus for fitting these? I seem to remember now that i had some a few years ago and couldnt get them to stick over the original badge as it was domed and the stickers were flat! Anyone any tips for me?

Cheers

Kit :)

Thanks all lets keep it going the more we buy the cheaper it gets.

How soon will these been done ?

Depends really.

Normally i give people a few weeks to register their interest; then everyone has to cough up the dough and they have to be produced I'd aim/expect for delivery early july

quick question for you I like the look of the 2011 style badge do these have the resin dome on them? its just you say there a flat badge?

Yes construction of the 2011 badge is exactly the same as the other badges and is finished with a resin dome.

I was just trying to clarify that it is a print to look 3D, the badges are not moulded/embossed/engraved into a 3D shape.

Why cant you remove your old badges first? ...prob best starting a new topic or asking on the GB 1,2 or 3 as they will have fitted their badges already (GB4 posters I expect would be guessing :p ).
