Got hold of the new motor yesterday and it's every bit as good as I hoped (and expected). So much car for relatively little money (compared to other makes) and brilliant to drive. Don't need loads of add-ons so just went for the auto lights/mirror/rain sensitive wipers and of course a real spare wheel (who wants a can of foam ??!!)Only thing missing is radio controls on the steering wheel but I think I'll manage !!

And by the way, Red is soooooooooo exclusive !! Sets us (I assume there are a few more Red ones out there tho' mine's the only one I've ever seen) apart from all those 10 a penny Blue & White ones !!! . OK, now I'll sit back and wait for the flak !

I was forbidden, if I'd had my way though the fabia would have been yellow.

I have a red VRS on order (since last October!) Confirmed for building this week (week 23) so should be with me before end of month.

I can't see the pointt in paying for metallic. Yellow is a "standard" colour that is free of charge in other countries (no cost option in germany), so no idea why people in UK are expected to pay more for this colour!

Thought my post might stimulate the usual debate. Didn't realsie how many people were colour blind though. Each to his own and Red for me !! Busy this week, will try to put some pics on next week, if/when I can figure out how. On the grille thing I liked a colour coded surround on a Red Mk 1 but I really like the chrome so again I'll be cheapskate and stick with it. Cheers
