Good to hear of fellow member's helping each other out and also that Alan has kept his enthusiasm for detailing since we met a long time ago sorting out his Octy.....

LOL - his enthusiasm is unreal! He's texting me first thing every weekend

wanting to have a go at the R36 and improve the paintwork. He also very

kindly helped get the back wheels off...... i cleaned and polished those and

he painted the hubs silver and cleaned up the brake calipers with AG-SRP.

The rears look stunning now! Just need to find a free weekend to do the fronts.

Alan really has the bug and is always looking to improve the finish on his VRS - top-bloke!

Totally Ste,

Think the wheels are past the point of anything but a good clean. Def in need of a refurb. Would love to get the car polished up as before to get it sorted for another year.

It may do a lot of miles, but still looks great when polished up.

Just wish i'd had it from new as i love the Vx pearl black!

I'm sure we will get it ship-shape mate; to see it ok for another year pounding on the miles!

Those wheels do need a good refurb for sure. I have a healthy supply of AS Tardis ready for the

tar spray too.

Nice Avatar btw - that Blue VRS looks familiar! :giggle:

Oh yeah thought you'd recognise it lol

Cheers Steve , your a top bloke too, I have sat and Sunday off, maybe we could do the wheels Sunday morning before the grand prix, and yes Johns car is a 58 plate, I finished his in the afternoon, about 2 so if it was then it would have been shiny. ! He was asking about yours as well, keep trying to persuade him to join Brisky! B)

Can I ask a daft question?

Is this Black hole stuff very similar to Coloured waxes, such as Turtle Wax's Colour Magic?

I use Black Colour Magic and very tempted to buy PH Black Hole, but wondering if it's basically the same thing?

Cheers Chris - Alan's got the VRS looking great and made a great start on the R36.

I think we were a bit gentle on the starting compound; and he's eager to get tough on the swirl marks! lol

Hes getting there Steve! :)

The silver paint is much thinner and easier to use, the black Hammerite is like creosote ;) and Chris stop being so patronising, but I know you cant help it :giggle:
