New Superb on its way

Featured Replies

Hi

I’ve just found out from my dealer that my 1.8SE Estate should be leaving the factory in about 3 weeks so I guess I will be the proud new owner in about 5 weeks. That makes 10 weeks from when I placed the order, which is spot on when the dealer reckoned it would be ready. I was exhibiting at the Cambridgeshire county show today so took the opportunity to go and have a closer look at the Superb Estate from the local Skoda dealer who was also there. Not that I'm getting excited you understand, but I went back FOUR times during the day just to admire its sleek lines, play with some of the features and make some comparisons with my Octavia hatch. The dealer’s car was an Elegance diesel DSG so had all the toys, but perhaps someone with an SE model can answer the following queries:

1. On the Elegance there are foot well lights for the rear seats as well as the front seats. Is this also standard on the SE model?

2. Does the SE model have reading lights built into the REAR courtesy light?

Thanks

Glen

That's a good lead time at 10 weeks. Mines looking more like 16-18 weeks for my 1.8tsi dsg elegance. Hope it comes sooner rather than later.

Ordered mine in Jan not due to pick up until Jul / Aug i ordered the 170CR 2.0l TDI 4 X 4 Combi with a few extras.

Mine was 10 weeks from ordering to handover.

This has been Skoda's best year ever with over 750,000 units sold.

I guess supply is outweighing demand. A friend of mine has been given 5 months predicted delivery on a similar spec. car.

I ordered mine on 14 Jan, and I will be picking it up this week, so that makes 21 weeks (CR140 DSG 4x4 Elegance, panoramic sunroof, plus some other options...), 2 weeks less than originally forecase.

It's already at the dealers, and I saw it on Saturday (still wrapped up in its protective coverings). All I have to do is wait for my number-plates to turn up, and I can drive it away. Yay!

I've already sold my Alfa, and have been driving around in my wife's Audi A3 the past 2 weeks, so I'm really looking forward to the delivery :)

Mine, a mere 8 weeks! - for a 170 4x4 with extras, but that was ordered Feb 2010 before official launch...

Al.

I have an S spec and it has reading lights, but no rear footwell lights however the rear roof lights are so good don't need footwell ones.

Enjoy the car- the wait will soon be over

Following up on my own post... I just had a call from the dealer. The plates have arrived, and the car is ready. Pickup at 13.00 on Thursday afternoon :)

And 3 days later, I'll be crossing the channel on the way to Manchester with it, so give me a wave if you see a Mocha brown combi with Belgian plates on the road :)

Don't forget to switch lights over to Travel mode via Maxidot setting.

I hate these threads  "My car's here", "My car's at the dealers" etc

My fricking lease company still haven't placed the order for mine and I'm getting might frustrated :wonder:

Sure you'll enjoy it :)
