Hi All, The garage have diagnosed an 'EGR Bump' on my car when setting off in first gear - Octavia Scout FL 09 TDi - so I could do with a test drive/comparison on another Scout to confirm this which would mean driving round the block, anybody up for it ? cheers - Stuart

How come it needs confirming if the garage has identified the problem, surely it will now be fixed under warranty?

I take it they don't have one to try?

The 'fault' has been on it from new and after numorous reports to the dealer skoda are saying its an 'EGR BUMP' and its a emissions characteristic, as it has a drop in power when setting off in first gear ! so I now need to know if it is or has mine got a fault and the only way I can check is by trying it next to another PD Scout. cheers - Stuart

Ah, the old "it's a characteristic of the car sir" excuse, grrrr!

Since you mentioned it I think my PD scout does something similar, hasn't caused any problems so far.
