Metric Wheels

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, Just bough some bbs alloys but it seems they are metric :/ is this a problem?

I believe they are 5x120 so my plan was just to get appropriate tyres to fit the wheels, and then fit 5x120 adaptors.

Anyone care to shed any light on my situation, any help would really be useful

Cheers in advance, Elliott

How wide are yours by the way? apparently these are 9 wide but im not too sure, iv looked at the info on the rear of the wheel, and cant find anything similar to the 6.5x16 or 5x100 found on he standard fabia wheels. got a few bits of info but not many results for them on google :/

Not a great pic i know but you get the idea. The tyres are brand new but instead of being 240/45/17 they say something like 240/45/420 :/ guess this is the metric bit lol.

Any ideas of what size tyres to put on these pip? iv heard people tend to go for 215/45/17 on 8's. wonder what tyre if they are 9's

im only guessing but i think you will need something like 205-40-17, check these out anyway as they will be 1 of the cheapest size's and will give plenty of stretch [which you will need id imagine running 9 j ] - http://www.tyrestret...m/9_205_40_R17/

turns out the tyre company iv just been to say you cant it normal tyres on metric wheels, and the wheels arnt even 16's the guy had just measured across the rim and it said 17 but measuring the rim of my 16's accross the face and they are larger than the BBS ones, im either gonna get my money back or sell on as metric tyres are expensive and i cant get a small enough tyre wall. F**k

Only cars i know of that use metric were montego's and maestro's from the eighties....

And yes the tyres do cost a lot because there not popular, best to get rid asap!

Yes i think the alloy will be something like 15.4 inches

Get rid

Very true, you can't fit imperial measurement tyres on metric wheels (or rather you shouldn't)

Different way to "stretch" your tyres lolol
