My Fiscon Plus (connected to a Bolero in a vRS) has just stopped working. It was working fine this morning and now it's as if it is not installed. Touching the phone button on the Bolero just mutes the radio. There is no menu option for the Phone in the MFD and the Bluetooth on the phone can't find anything to pair with.

My questions are;

Is it likely to be something as simple as a fuse or a power input wire that has come loose?

Is it possible that the car has just lost the Fiscon for some reason and a VCD is required just to reprogram the car?

Has anybody seen this before with a Fiscon (i.e. is it a known "feature")?

I'm not overly worried the unit is under warranty I just don't want to have to drive for 2 hours to the dealer and back if it's something as simple as a fuse.

I don't like to resurrect old posts like this, but did you get this fixed? I have this week developed the same problem with my VW Polo. It's as if the Fiscon just isn't installed anymore. I would appreciate any help you can give me!

My dad's Fiscon kit also did this. Unplug the box and reconnect, see if that does the job

unplug it and plug it in again

I fitted a Mk6 Golf mfsw for someone and it did this afterwards

Hi guys, thanks for the hints. I would have had to wait until the weekend to pull out the head unit, so I tried just pulling the fuse for the radio instead and it worked!
