As per title;

Anybody with a Fabia 1.4lt 16v 100bhp, 5 speed manual, with ABS/ARS/EDL, 2000, 2001, 2002 year?

Can you do a full VAG-COM (VCDS) scan of your ABS unit as I need the code as I have to install a new unit in my car as the old unit is totally unreadable and fubar!

Code should be either 00044 or 00188???

Just wondered if you had obtained any help with this or replies... my 52 plate 1.4 16v elegance hatch has just popped up an ABS light and the warning traingle with the i in the middle.

Hit the brakes very hard this morning and also have been over speed humps a plenty.

It's a bit annoying - just put on two tyres and passed MOT and then this.

Will probably get scanned or be buying scanner etc as we also have a Golf Mk5 which will probably need a scan sometime.

Wondered if you got to the bottom of your probs.

Where about's are you Moray coastish ? I'm originally from Lossie.

I got to the bottom of mine....electronic unit was FUBAR.......the PCB board had a duff chip......so new unit....also found a previous diagnostics print out with the code on it...also had a confirmation of this in the main tech section.
