Pastboys domed badges

Have orderd some of these from Cliff and was wondering how folk who had already got theirs had put them on? Over the exsisting badge or taken original badge off and replaced with the new one? I had some before from cliff for the fabia and tried to put them on over the top of the old badge but because the OEM one is domed i couldnt get the flat sticker of Cliff's ones to fit.....is there a way to do this without taking the OEM ones off?

PS.... i have 4 of the old ones, black and silver (unused and in packet)i had for the fabia...not sure on the measurments but will check later if anybody wants them?

I take it its a heat gun job seeing as i dont have any hair so no hairdryer!!!?...just worried about marking the car!!

i just used hot water and some thread or tooth floss.

once the badge is so far off you can get your fingers in and slowly peel it away. if need be add more hot water/heat.

then giveit a good clean were it was to make sure the new badge sticks

and you mit find it useful to mark up where the old badge is so you know where to stick the new one.

I peeled the metal badge off the plastic dome and then put the new badge on the plastic dome. Take ur time and preparation of the surface is key.

just a wee question and i know im making hard work of this but just how exactly do you take the badges off the front grille? On looking at it im not sure if the whole thing comes off or there is a plate behind it to attach the new one to it! There also appears to be two pins in what looks like a base plate....pic attached...I know everyone says aye sure its easy but then theyve probably done it before!!..

any help would be greatly appreciated...by the way its an FL RS

Bumpty bump...Anyone help here? Wont risk trying to remove the badge without knowing how its held on!! :(

Sorry kit

It's stuck on a black backing which in turn is stuck to the grille

I used a screwdriver to prise it off carefully.

To protect the grille I used a microfibre cloth then a loyalty card to pivot against. Keep moving around.

Cheers for that Prolfe Will give it a bash now i know how its held on :)But it might be a week or so as im away soon for a week
