Cruise Control question

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

I need a definitve answer about dealer fit cruise control to a Fabia MK1.

I'm thinking of buying a 05/06 model (ambiente or sport as elegance like hens teeth!)

I have been 'told' that it can only be done economically to post 2006 models as the wiring is different to the pre 2006 models and the cost to change it would be prohibitive.

Anyone know the answer and how much it would cost?

Thanks....Chip

That's not true as I've had it retrofitted to my 03 car.

It's the Board Network Controller that you need to check.

All of the info you require should be here

Excellent! As a matter of interest and without beeing cheeky, how much did it cost?

It cost me £200, although I have heard of some dealers quoting £180 including everything. Might be worthwhile phoning up your local Skoda dealer, you never know you might be surprised.

That's not too bad really. Problem is. I haven't bought the car yet so how do I know I've got a car with the right Board Controller ie 6Q0 or 6Q1??

You don't until you've got access to the car unfortunately.
