what a job!

Featured Replies

spent the day today removing the front shocks and springs ready for my new konis.what a pig of a job that was! spring compressers where a bit to long and kept catchin and i couldnt get the bottom of the shocks out the hub for nothin. wanted to get them all changed today but had to call it a day and save the re fitting for my next day off. at least i have them both off now. oh and to top it off i managed to wack myself in the nose with a spanner giving me a nice cut to finish things off lol :giggle: :S

Done that job Saturday myself. Done my ferkin head in.

New shocks with lowering springs will go in easier because they're shorter (lower).

Bottom ball ball joint is the one to separate. Once that's off/out the drive shaft and hub drop down further.

Makes life a little bit easier.

You'll be chuffed when it's all done though!! :)

It's easier I think to take the whole hub and strut off as one unit, then use a hub spreader to open up the hub and slide the damper out.
