Which Battery? Confused.com!

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I need a new battery! I bought one off Tayna.co.uk in Feb 2009 and it's dead already! I did buy the cheapest one going but still...

Anyway, I'm looking at the updated fitment guide on Tayna and it says I need a "Type 027" whereas the old fitment guide says I need a "Type 75". I'm confused as to which, can anyone help me because the last one I got was a 75. The Varta web site also says 27?! Is it just sizing?

Type 75

Type 27

I am going to buy the Varta silver dynamic from whichever of the types above is correct.

Many thanks!!

Can't help with the battery type for your specific vehicle, but I have found this site and it seems to give great prices on Bosch batteries http://www.carbatteriesonline.co.uk/ far cheaper than Halfords, and nearly as cheap as a generic battery from a Motorfactors.

Edit: if it's the same battery box as mine I think it's 027 is the biggest will fit in, which is out of stock at the website I mentioned anyway. Only a guess, hopefully someone can confirm.

Go for at least 60AH capacity on that engine size as well! I use Bosch batteries. B)
