Amundsen vs Columbus

Featured Replies

Have any of you Superbists got an Amundsen fitted at all? When I pick up my SE Plus it has the revised Amundsen installed as standard, but to be fair, it looks a bit pants compared to a columbus. If you have one, how are you getting on with it? I may well save some cash and pick up a Columbus from <can of worms> eBay </can of worms> and swap them out.

There is a plethora of Columbus information on Brisky, but not so much for the Amundsen, so please any Amundsen owners, jump in to it's defence.

I have admunsen on my car. it comes without CD's you have to buy the separately. Admunsen+ all Cd's for Europe (9-10-11 - i'm npt shure) brings you to the price for Columbus, but without DVD. I don't know the maps status for Australia or US. So, unless you don't plan to travel abroad and watch DVD-s, you only want integrated original nav on board, is ok. As for the quality and acccuracy of the service, i cannot give informations because the CD for romania does not exist.

Bottom line: if you don't want any more gadgets attaches to the windwhield, and don't travel much outside your country, buy admunsen. If you care less about having an external GPS attachet to the windshield or travel in many countries, you buy a GPS device.
