Hello All. As many people, I have joined because we appear to have a problem! Fabia Estate 1.4 diesel 2006: alternator light has come on, but checks confirm everything is charging correctly and no problem. Is this simply a case of accessing the computer and turning off the light - or could there be more deep and dark problems indicated, such as short in wiring somewhere. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your kind welcomes. I didnt realise Skoda had such a following! I "inherited" this little car from my daughter when she moved to France (paying off her loan on it!). I must admit, I would not have chosen to buy it - but now it is here, I do quite enjoy it. It has one annoying habit - at 70 or so there is a tap, tap, tap at the back which I have now put down to the aerial whipping around. Are there any solutions?
