Well, my brand new Superb was finally delivered on Tuesday. Should have been here last Friday, but there was a problem with taxing the car so they wouldn't deliver it.

Initial thoughts - Very impressed. Kids love it, wife likes it, it drives so much better than my Citroen C4GP, it is err... a bit livlier too. Think I will have to watch my right foot, especially the first few weeks. Few hitches so far, the Navigation wouldn't work, just kept asking for the disc, which wasn't supplied. A quick call to the lease company dealer, Rainworth Skoda, and the couriered a new disc to me next day, which I was happy about. And my Park Assist didnt get ordered, must have got lost in the list of options I sent through. Just have to manage with rear sensors

And haven't checked if my umbrella is there yet either.

Have already been to Mitchells to purchase MDI lead, and was well impressed with the control of the iPod on touchscreen. Also, the phone control of my HTC Desire HD is brill too, much better than the Parrot kit I had last time.

Finally, well impressed with the Navigation system. I was wondering if it was any good reading some comments on here, but reckon it is as good as the Honda system I used previously, and better than the Citroen system in so many ways.

Suppose I had better include a pic, but don't know how to...

welcome, you can always go to a North West meet & show off your Superb too! We'll convert the Octy's & Furby's yet! Infact they all love it & are probably insanely jealous . (normally meet up on 1st Sunday of every month at the Stretton Fox - Jct 10 of M56... its actually on the roundabout of the junction! Took me a while first time... doh!)

Ahhh I think I've seen you!!! can't remember where ... possibly M56 Manchester heading out towards Jct 7...??

I was in my company car.... a common as muck Black Golf Mk5 (Bluemotion) but we've also got the same (very similar) Amethyst Est. just no DSG!

If you ever notice someone stare at you from a black Golf & then wave you'll have to assume its me! LOL

The missus has the car during the week but I took a long hard look wondering who's nabbed our car... :wonder:

Ah, another Cheshire Combi owner... who know's, if I ever make it to a cheshire meet we might get three Combi's, four if we can convince Ray&Val to come too

I'll keep an eye out for you... I travel the length of the M56 from Chester to Manchester almost every day, although not always in my own car (car share)

Oh, and HAPPY NEW CAR... enjoy the experience and feel free to ask any questions... we've all had plenty of time to read the manual whilst waiting 7 months

I will look out for you both too. I live in Ellesmere Port, but travel all over, so am often up and down the motorway.

Just remembered to go and have a look for my umbrella, and it was there. My wife thinks I'm a bit daft though, getting excited about an umbrella
