Oil Catch Tanks

Featured Replies

Who runs one of their Fabia? Why did you feel the need for one?

Is there any point really?

yep if your ever taken an intercooler hose off and seen the oil inside it your know why its needed, ive got a universal allard one, as they dont do an exact fit one for the fabia , just stops oil vapour being recirc'd into the intercooler network, so hope fully less chance or pooping hoses off, and a cleaner system

I like the look of doing this mod

Just plug the intake and vent to atmosphere. catch can is more hassle then its worth imo.

Seems a good idea 'TrevorB33' emoticon-0148-yes.gif

May I ask where would I get one like the one you have.?

Thanks.

If 'Thirdtimeluck' suggestion was used not quite sure which pipe is the intake,

and whether it may disrupt system some how.??

I've got one too, just wanted it to keep all the pipes and cooler clean after removing and cleaning them, you will be surprised at the amount of oil that comes from it, also heard that it's good for the turbo not to have oil blowing past it.

Made one out of metallic tin, stuffed with those metal scrubbers for filtration and a breather filter to vent to atmosphere (VTA). My v1 was a little small so fair amount of vapour kept coming out of it, v2 now replaced with a bigger metallic tin (with more metal scrubbers) and see less smoke :)

Even my v1 caught a small amount of gunky oil. pretty sure thats not good for the roads or for going back into the turbo.

I've also noticed less smoke wonder why tho? Lower egt's without the hot oil??
