Alarm keeps going off

Featured Replies

Over the last few days my alarm keeps going off, when I disable the internal sensors it stops it so i am guessing one of those is at fault. Doing a search has brought up a few people who have had the same problem, but they either limited the sensitivity (i dont think it is this), or had the sensor sorted with skoda, there is no mention of cost or how long it took..

Can anyone who has ever sorted it, let me know how they went about doing it, or how much it cost through skoda? it does seem to be getting worse (three times this evening) so does need sorting soon! :(

cheers guys

Mine was probably one of the threads you found.

I was having the same issue on a new Octy - only a month old.

Went in under warranty and they reduced the sensitivity from 100 to 75 and it hasn't gone off since.

As your fault has developed I would say it isn't going to be sensitivity, more likely a faulty sensor.

You could find someone with VCDS and get them to scan your car - this should tell you which sensor is it fault.

Then ask your local dealership for a quote on replacement of that sensor - I'd have thought then an hours labour plus the cost of the part.

Many thanks mate, will have to go down that route I guess. If anyone can let me know how much it cost them i'd be grateful! :)
