I'm in four minds

Featured Replies

How about a bit of input on making my mind up please.

My big plan was to wait for the new big vRS to be launched this December, wait for a year to Dec 2006 and get a one year old bargain with a few thousand off the list.

Well it now seems a long way away when I keep seeing new octavia's and I really want one. With a baby coming this year I thought good excuse for an estate.Having seen one though and listened to the views of others, my current car and boot holds as much as an estate so there is no practical benefit to the estate .

Now comes the octavia sport with nice kit and a 2.0 fsi with 150 bhp. Can't be that slow can it?Apparantly in the showroom next month.

Finally, and believe it or not my wife's suggestion, get the octy jabbad. Hmmm, not the thoughts a mother to be be should be having, but probably a good idea.Spend

im kinda stuck in the same situation as you, i have been thinking of waiting for the new vRS but having heard of no details or even a date that it might come out i just dont think i can wait, but then again i change my mind ever other week.

the longer i keep my car the more i want to upgrade the wheels and suspnsion etc, but in doing this will harm my chances of a trade in i think, so up until now i have mods that can go back to standard fairly easy.

sorry i cant really be of much help but i would recommend a jabba remap:D

im sure you'll keep it a while after that! ;)

2ltr FSI is a normal atmo engine.....I don't think you'll get much out of a remap....maybe 10 %....that's what I got on my Passat 1.8 20v.

Personally...I would go either 2ltr PD diesel....perhaps 180bhp after remap....or wait for the vRS.

Edited: just re read what you said.....get your current Octy remapped...what you got? A for SWMBO making irrational comments....she pregnant...hormones all over ths shop.....do it before she changes her mind. ;):D

Save up the penny's and load up the new one with extras when it comes out. :D Well thats my plan :)

Hell if you have 'permission' to get it remapped, then why not :D

Let's face it, 400 quid won't stop ya from buying that new one when it comes out, it may delay you for a bit, admittedly, but in the meantime you'll have 1-2 years of even more fun driving your existing car.

Remap it and wait for the new RS.

As for your 4 minds, how greedy is that? There are a few people i could name who don't even have one... ;)
