Yeah, injected into the post intercooler pipework in a fine mist form, so it effectively becomes "air" during the combustion process.

I bought a 230 litre barrel of meth from a place I found online! Was the cheapest way to get it in bulk and not surprisingly the barrel is still quite full two years later.

Any links to a suitable kit? Is it safe to run it all of the tine?

I'm someone who used to rub meths rather than Rubbing Alcohol* on my feet to harden them up & frequently spend time up a hill in a small tent cooking on a stove that burns the stuff & I am surprised at the cautions being advocated for infrequent use under discussion. I may be doomed I guess.

I do agree with you Sy however - but seen worse recently on other threads.

Its a pretty straight forward system

All it is is a water tank, pump and mist nozzle

It works off a boost pressure switch so only comes on when a certain boost pressure is acheived so not on all the time anyways

Some setups work so it starts injecting at say 1 bar of boost. Mine starts injecting at about 2/3 of a bar, and it is progressive up to 2 bar. This way it is injecting more when the car needs it, i.e full acceleration, and is only putting a little bit on medium acceleration.

Yes, mine is the progressive system.

I tend to leave mine switched off. Looks like there is no need.

Thinking about it I only switched it on to test the car at Jabbasport and once afterwards.

Even when I made the two videos it was off.

Still, on the bright side... more power to play with.

not much more, the benefits of a fmic compared to an smic with water meth would be night and day...

fmic first, then water meth if you like...

there would be a bit of wiring with a meth kit, boost switch and relay, beyond me like

Does anyone use water + Methanol as their screen wash? I met a guy with a TT who had a Methanol kit and he said he uses it as his screen wash all the time as it's cheaper than screenwash etc...

Some kits use the washer bottle under the bonnet instead of a seperate filler bottle in the boot.

Acts as screenwash and the meth reserve in one.

Mines a 2.5gallon tank in the rear. I find my screen wash bottle is too small for even the windows in winter etc. Couldn't be arsed filling it up every time the low level light came on

Yeah same but I just won't use it anymore and Meth is gunna be turned on and off so won't use much I doubt

Ahh yours is the on off one. Mine is always on but it if I just mooch/Sunday drive it doesn't inject at all. As the pressure are set high
