Holiday to south of France in my Vrs and very good fuel consumption

Featured Replies

Hi everyone! my wife and I just come back from a 2 weeks holiday in the south of France. I drove my Vrs there and back and although the journey was very long I'm very impresed with the fuel range I got. I must have driven almost 500 miles on one tank!!! :o and it's not a diesel! :D I have to add that most of that driving was all motorway but at one point I was getting 40mpg! In my view for a performance car that's amazing isn't it? Has anyone else managed to get lots of milage on one tank of driving?

Just got 720 on one tank. Mind you, it's a remapped 2.0 diesel

Hope you enjoyed the South of France - we love it down there, but you're right it's a long way. Did you see the Millau Bridge? Amazing.

I drove to Avignon rather than use TGV just so I could drive over the Milau Bridge.... was so wet and misty couldn't see the ground from viewing point but was like driving in the clouds.... mine will give 40 mpg over long steady motorway journey and agree pretty good for a performance car..
