coming home & leaving home funtion

Featured Replies

Sorry to be a pain, i have a 2011 facelift octavia with rain sensor, maxi-dot, full mfsw + paddals.

Do i need to have the the full auto switch to enable to have ch/lh or can it just be coded into Maxi-dot and if it can do i need to leave the headlight switch in the on position?

You will need vcds to have ch/lh

No two ways about it .!!

As you say you have a rain sensor you can retro-fit auto lights --this will allow you to have full functionality (auto lights, ch/lh, rain lights etc etc )

The second option is that

You don't fit auto - lights and you activate ch feature via vcds.

For this to work you will need to dip the high beam once for the lights to come on ( no functionality on maxidot)

However you won't get LH without fittin auto lights .!

I'm sure you can have CH/LH lights without having to go to the expense of having full auto lights. I have heard of other people having the function without the auto lights switch. What it will mean though is that you will have the lights come on everytime you press the romote control button, even in broad daylight. I may be wrong on this but you could try a forum search to see what you come up with.

Yes you can but that's for the pre-FL not the FL.!

I have CH lights and I don't have autolights and it's a FL

I'd check yours first, turn lights from dipped to off, turn ignition off and flash main beam once. Take keys out n get out of car. Lights should be on for 30 seconds or so.

If they don't come on you can get them coded via VCDS, get corning fogs done at same time.

for my ch/lh lights to work, i need to have the light switch set to "auto", otherwise they don't switch on/off on lock/unlock.

but i don't fancy ch/lh firing my xenon lamps each time, so i disabled mine via my maxidot.

if i can get ch/lh to work with my foggies instead, then i'll re-enable them.

but 1st i gotta find someone who can do it via vcds.
