MFD - Confused

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just recently bought an octavia vrs pd tdi. Now my car has the blue MFD screen but I've just been looking through some cars for sale and they all have a green MFD which is smaller. Was this an option from factory?

How old is car? Maxi-dot or not? MFD on my 08 Scout is White!

It's a 56 plate mate, what's maxidot? Lol

Maxidot is a more advanced version of the graphic display between the revometer and speedometer which shows more detailed information, interfaces with the stereo/sat nav and allows you to customise various settings on the car. The stock screen on pre-facelift cars was green and filled half the space between the two dials with the lower area having a set of simple light up icons whereas on cars with the optional maxidot, this screen fills the area.

Well mine must be the maxidot then coz I can go into settings on mine like auto locking doors etc. didn't know that's what maxidot is! Didn't know it was an extra either :)

Maxi-dot I believe is usually White! I wonder if someone has fitted a blue light conversion to yours? I believe these are available from the likes of eBay.

Text is white with a blue backlight so appears to be light blue in colour.
