Blanking plate for under stereo?

Featured Replies

After it sitting on the shelf for 18 months today I've fitted by bury bluetooth kit, but due to the limited space behind/above the stereo I've put in where the cubby under the stereo used to be. Is there a standard part (part number?) which blanks this off on the models which don't have the cubby, or is this cubby always present?

If needs be I'll just cut off all but the front 20mm of the cubby then glue some black plastic to the back of it, to make it a really small pen-depth shelf, but ideally I'd like a proper part if there is one.

Thanks.

Chris.

They all have the cubby hole, or the drawer that was fitted to the elegance model. The drawer is about £40 from Skoda dealers. How much wire length do you have? Could you relocate the bluetooth to above the glovebox or the passenger kick panel as there's plenty of space there.

There is enough wire to put the bluetooth box itself anywhere else, but there is a Y cable assembly which splits the factory loom to insert the handsfree in between the power/speakers, this is a large bundle of wires and not long enough to mount outside of the stereo area, unless its wedged somewhere, but I don't really like that.

I'll have a go with chopping short the cubby, probably end badly.....

Passenger side footwell, center console, there is a gap to feed cables down to the passenget footwell behind the sterio.

if not how big is the controller box? the cubby tray is shorter than the radio so there is room behind it, i know i have another 12v socket with USB attached back there with room to spare B)
