So me and Gareth were chatting tonight about tons of questionable power figures and thought it would be a good idea to organise a RR day at a RR that is most widely accepted by the majority for being 'accurate' and see what a group of Fabia's run. AmD's figures have been a bit weird recently, for example I had 4 runs and each run made within 10bhp different from the other run, ranging anywhere from 160bhp-198bhp... My torque seemed low and for example Trevor is running 217bhp on a standard PD150 turbo which just seems insane.

People on TDIClub and SCN are saying over 230bhp is impossible with standard injectors and there's no-way people like CT17 and warwick hunt with a claimed 270bhp+ are making those figures. I really want those 2 guys to come along as it would be really interesting to see what figures everyone makes and compare them to each other.

So I'm going to do some research and find a good approved RR local to the South East (Kent/London) and hopefully get a group of 5-10 of us there for a few runs each. As they will all be Fabia's hopefully they can do us a good price.

Would anyone come along to an event like this? We'd ideally need at least 10 cars to book and it would be really cool if people could make the journey even if it is out of their way.

I'm open to suggestions for the RR to contact and the date range.

I fully accept that AmD's RR isn't as accurate as the next one but all RR's will differ. I'd just like to get some big power Fabia's together for a day so we can compare. I think it would be really cool to see Jabba's stage 3 Fabia's running and so on.

Ive always had accurate results at jkm in portsmouth been there around 5times always been good bit of a trek though although shark will have there rollers sorted soon an thats pretty much middle to everyone

Somewhere with a Dyno Dynamics set up gets my vote.

I know of a Dyno Dynamics RR in the Midlands which some of us SCNers have used before. I think everyone (12 of us from memory) on the RR day bar one person was 8-10bhp down on what they were expecting compared to their results from various other dynos, so IMO it's more realistic/pessimistic. The one exception was a PD130 Ibiza which rolled 142 I think, but the owner had only had it around a week so it's possible that it had a fairly mild/bad map on it and he just didn't know.

Depends of course who signs up and where they're from etc, I have a slightly vested interest since this dyno is about 5 minutes away from where I work

Id be well up for this, but essex/portsmouth is too far for me... leicester/Northampton would be more suited to most people i think

He has it, but there isn't room for it in his current unit. When I spoke to him on Tues, he should be sorting out the new premises over the next couple of months, as I believe his intention is to have a completely seperate area for the dyno.

Midlands sounds good. Northampton/ leicster area would cater for most i reckon
