Per title,

when building up the front struts with the suspension top mounts, can you avoid the need for a spring compressor if you set the spring platforms at their lowest point?

I would then look to adjust when built up, as wouldn't be using them at their lowest setting.

I'd be buying new top mounts and bearings, so would just remove the existing struts without breaking them down.
